Ecuador, 1920 (Nov 4) Guyaquil to Cumca First Flight, special printed "Tarjeta Postal de El Telegrafo" aviation picture post card, franked with 1920, 3c yellow brown + 1c postal tax (225, RA3) tied by Guayaquil date stamps, 3c additionally tied by "Premer, Correo Aereo De Ecuador" handstamp, reverse showing pilot portrait and areoplane with "Cuenca, Ecuador Nov 4" cds and signed by pilot; some minor soiling, still Very Fine, extremely rare with only 16 items supposedly carried on this flight.
Estimate    $400 - 600.

Ecuador, 1928 (Oct 22) SCADTA Guayaquil to Paita, Peru First Flight, cover franked with Airmail, 1928, 75c on 15c Provisional, horizontal pair + 10c on 7c brown (C2, 284), tied by blue "Servico De Transportes Aereo, Guayaquil, 22 Oct, 1928" cds with second strike at bottom, Very Fine, only 20 cover were carried on this flight, this marked "20" of 20.

Carried on the first SCADTA flight from Guayaquil to Paita, Peru utilizing the Junkers FBW seaplane "Atlantic".

Provisional Surcharge, with Airmail 1928, 3s on 60c Provisional Surcharge + Airmail Registration 1928, 1s on 20c Provisional Surcharge (C5, CF1) on registered airmail cover to Barranquilla, in combination with 1928, 20c bistre brown (273), all tied by purple "Guayaquil, SCADTA, 28 Ago, 1928" cds's, registry etiquette handstamp and receiving postmark on front, Very Fine.

AN EXTREMELY RARE FIRST DAY OF ISSUE COVER EXAMPLE OF THE 1929 50C ON 10C "CTS." PROVISIONAL SURCHARGE ERROR ON A FLIGHT COVER.

This cover was sent by F.E. Parraga on this flight bearing the rare "50 Cts. 50" error airmail from the sheet of 100 sold to him by the SCADTA Agency in Guayaquil. Of the 80 covers sent, many are reported to have been destroyed due to the ravages of the tropics.

Ecuador, 1928, 50c on 10c-3s on 60c First Airmail Issues complete, with Air Registry 1928, 1s on 20c gray (CF1) on registered airmail cover to Berlin, Germany, in combination with 1925, 1c light blue + 5c rose + 10c yellow green (200, 208, 212) all tied by blue "Guayaquil, SCADTA, 9 Oct, 1928" cds's, matching registry etiquette handstamp and reverse with Barranquillia and N.Y. transit postmarks, Very Fine and attractive, a wonderful First Airmail & Airmail Registration usage on cover.
