Confederacy, Mobile, Ala., 1861, 2¢ black, full to large margins showing portion of adjacent stamp at left, small tear at bottom, tied by Mobile, Ala., Feb 14 Valentine's Day cds on locally addressed cover, with manuscript "From R.M. Key, Mobile Dragoons" endorsement at top left; cover opened on three sides with front rebacking some edge flaws and slightly reduced, Fine and rare.

The Crown census records only 23 covers with the 2¢ Mobile provisional.

Confederacy, Richmond, Texas, 1861, 10¢ red, circular handstamp and black Richmond, Tex., Jan 27 cds on cover to North Carolina., this is an example of the unused provisional entire re-used, stamps that once covered the provisional are missing, F.-V.F. appearance, an extremely rare provisional with only 10 recorded; with 1997 C.S.A. certificate.
