North West Pacific Islands, 1915-16, Kangaroo and Map, 2½d Indigo, 1st watermark, pane of 30, o.g., mostly never hinged, Plate 2 bottom left pane (2L31-60), with thick frame at upper right (31), scratch over "W" of two (32), thick WA Coastline (43) and retouch to upper-right value circle (55) varieties, with full sheet margins at left and bottom and JBC Monogram, a few minor tone spots visible on the back only, Very Fine, only the KGV 1p and Kangaroo 2½ from the first printing were issued with selvage, on all other issues the selvage was removed, a very rare exhibition quality item. SG No. 74.
