Papua, 1908, Small "PAPUA", 2d black & purple, perf 12½ watermark inverted, Sheet of 30, o.g., some never hinged, neatly mounted on exhibit page, second state of the vignette with vignette flaws on positions 7, 11, 12, 20, 23, 28, also frame flaws on positions 16, 17, 19, 23, 27 & 28, some toning on the selvage and perf separation reinforced with hinges, otherwise almost Very Fine, a scarce sheet. SG No. 55 £1,500 as singles ($2,000).

Papua, 1910, Small "Papua", ½p, 2p (2), 2½p and 4p on Registered Cover, tied with scarce "Bonagai 24 Jul, 10" cds, on cover to Halifax, England, two line "Registered Woodlarks B.N.G" cancel at lower left with additional registration number in red, backstamped with Brisbane and London transit markings along with exquisite Post Office Woodlarks B.N.G wax seal, vertical crease not affecting the adhesives, Very Fine, a scarce cover with great eye appeal.

Papua, 1911, Large "Papua", ½ and 2p "Lakatois" on Registered Cover, two of each, tied with "Bonagai.S.E. 27 Mar. 11" cds, two line Registered Woodlarks B.N.G. handstamp above, backstamped with "Port Morsby 31 Mar, 11" cds, Very Fine and choice, a scarce local usage from a better origin.

Papua, 1911, Large "PAPUA", 2s6d black & brown, perf 12½ thick numerals, in combination with 2½p ultramarine and 2½ blue-violet, tied to registered legal sized cover from Samarai to Coff's Harbour, N.S.W. with "Samarai 22 De, 1911" cds, Samarai registration etiquette at left, "Coff's Harbor 5 Ja, 12" receiving cds below, Very Fine, an attractive three color franking.
