N.Y." imprint in small tablet at bottom as well as many shading lines throughout design, on India die sunk on card (61x88mm); small tone spots along die sink at top well away from design, Very Fine, a unique progressive die essay.
Scott No. R11-E3a    Estimate $750 - 1,000.

This unfinished proof appears similar to to the unique proof that was in the Honolulu Advertiser collection, however it is an earlier version missing shading in hair, above "Hawaii", floral accent at left and shading in top central box.

Estimate    $500 - 750.

AN EXTREMELY RARE MINT MULTIPLE OF THE TREASURER'S OFFICE "NOT LIABLE TO DUTY" REVENUE ISSUE.

Only a few mint examples are known with all of the example known to us are with no gum. This multiple with full original gum is of great rarity.
