Jun. 18, 1861" circular datestamp on cover to Alexander Stephens at Crawfordville Ga., backflap removed as usual for this correspondence (trace of blue embossing remains), docketing regards someone wanting position as Commissary, small corner repair at bottom left, fresh and Very Fine.

Confederacy, Wentworth N.C., 10¢ on 5¢ black, entire (unlisted). Neat strike of "Paid 10" over tiny "5" handstamp on Cannon, 12-Star Flag and Verse patriotic cover to Black Spring N.C. with neat "Wentworth N.C. Nov. 15" circular datestamp & manuscript "10 Paid" at top right, "Wentworth N.C. Apr. 14" control mark on back, fresh and Very Fine, this is the only reported example of this postmaster's provisional, unlisted in Scott or Crown, listed in Dietz, ex-Haas and Myerson.
