1857-61, 1¢ blue, types I & V, and six 3¢ dull red, type II. All tied by grid cancels on a Sept 7 1861 folded letter to Switzerland, via French Mail (a late usage within 6 days of demonetization), some adhesive faults, otherwise F.-V.F., a nice usage; with 2002 P.F. certificate.

1857, 1¢ blue, type II, horiz strip of three. Plate 2, tied by indistinct cds's on cover to Illinois, light cover soiling and small nick at bottom of right stamp, otherwise Fine (no photo).

1857, 3¢ dull red, type II. Uncancelled, used on a buff cover to Utica, New York, with manuscript Old Stamps/Due 3 Cts; slightly reduced at right, adhesive with light crease and with some toned perfs, otherwise Very Fine, an unusual example of an Old Stamps Not Recognized cover.
