Confederacy, 7-star flag. Red and blue patriotic design (Dietz F7-19) with Jas. L. Gow imprint at bottom, on 1861 cover front to Liverpool, England, "Augusta, Ga., Mar 26, 1861" cds origin cds and rated "Due 24" in pencil at top, "N. York, Br. Pmk., 5, Apr 2" integral rate cds, Liverpool entry cds and "1/-" due applied upon arrival, faint horizontal crease across front, Very Fine, the only recorded example of a Confederate Patriotic to a Foreign Destination; with 2003 P.F. certificate.

Red, blue and black patriotic design on captured cover sent to Winterset, Iowa, franked with U.S. 1861, 3¢ rose tied by "Memphis, Tenn." cds, manuscript notation "Captured at Jackson, Miss., May 14th, 63" at left, cover reduced at right and small tear at bottom right, F.-V.F., a rare captured patriotic usage; with 2003 C.S.A. certificate.
