Hawaii, [Maui] Island of Maui postmarks. A wonderful accumulation in one three ring binder full of singles, pairs, strips, both on and off fragments with a wide variety of Maui postmarks, plus some cut squares, towns include Hamakuapoko, Hana, Kahului, Hamoa, Kihei, Kipahulu, Lahaina, Makawao, Paia, Sprecklesville & Wailuku, etc., many duplicates, most on the 1894-96 issues which have been selected for the clarity of the strikes, mixed condition, worth careful inspection, a great lot for the specialist (no photo).

Hawaii, [Molokai] Island of Molokai postmarks. A small accumulation on one stocksheet of singles, pairs (both on and off fragments), plus a few cut squares with a postmarks from Molokai, towns include Kamalo & Kaunakakai, some duplicates, most on the 1894-96 issues or 1883-86 2¢, several which have been selected for the clarity of the strikes, mixed condition, worth careful inspection, a great lot for the specialist (no photo).

Lot 1948    

Hawaii, [Oahu] Aiea, Oahu. Wonderful strike of violet duplex (MH 255.01, R2) postmark tying 1899 2¢ rose (two singles, couple trivial toned perf tips) on 1900 cover to Honolulu with printed corner card of "Electrician", Very Fine and choice, a scarce postmark as this Post Office was in operation for only 2 years.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Hawaii, [Oahu] Ewa, Oahu. Bold violet postmark (MH 281.013, 1RR) on 1882 2¢ lilac rose (slight defects), Fine.

Hawaii, [Oahu] Honolulu, Hawaii/May 22, 1851. Straight line postmark on cover to Yale College in New Haven Conn. with magenta manuscript "Paid 40" & "San Francisco" cds & matching "Paid" in red, handstamped "Forwarded" & two strikes of "Advertised", the "Paid 40" & San Francisco "Paid" have been crossed and replaced with a manuscript "6" rate to indicate the 5¢ forwarding fee and 1¢ advertising fee, cover with piece out at center, which has been crudely repaired & some edge wear, Fine, a very rare postmark & an interesting usage.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.

Hawaii, [Oahu] Honolulu, Hawaiian Islands, Jan 18. Bold red cds (MH 236.11) on cover to Portland, Conn., manuscript "Paid 5" at top left for Hawaiian postage, "San Francisco, Cal., Mar 1" cds with matching "12" rate handstamp (10¢ + 2¢ ship letter) over Honolulu cds, edge wear at top and crease through San Francisco postmark, F.-V.F.

Lot 1955    

Hawaii, [Oahu] Honolulu/Hawaiian-Islands. Red cds on 1857 legal size cover to the Commissioner of Pensions in Washington, D.C. with manuscript notation at top right "United States Consulate/Hilo, Tho. Miller Consul" & at bottom left "via Honolulu & San Francisco", upon arrival in San Francisco a black "San Francisco, Cal/ Free" cds was applied as the was to be sent free for official mail, pencil docketing, Very Fine, a wonderful usage from Hilo with the free franking privilege.
Estimate    $1,000 - 1,500.
