Barbados, Balance Collection, 1852-1920's. Collection of 1852-78 mint and used stamps and 1858-1920's covers and postal stationery, stamps with imperf issues virtually all four margins copies and large margins the rule, starting with S.G. #1 used on, a strong array of mint multiples including #2 block of four and pair, various later mint and used including #7 mint and two used singles, multiple used singles of the 1858 issue, early perf issues including 1861-70 ½d large mint multiples, strong 1870's issues with the occasional pair and ending with a used #86 (cat £650), covers include stampless crown circle paid handstamp in black on cover, wrapper and two on piece, 1d blue on 1858 prices current to Trinidad, 1862 folded letter bearing two 1d perf issues, nice range of 1880-90 U.P.U. rate usages, also a section of forgeries and proofs including 1870 5sh plate proofs in colors; condition and quality well above the norm (no photo).
