Horizontal pair (minor tone spots), tied by target cancels and "Washington D.C., Apr 24, 62" cds one a very rare multicolored Magnus "Panorama of Washington" patriotic cover addressed to Danby, Vt., included is matching multicolored Magnus enclosure depicting large portrait of Washington, 27 small views of various Washington D.C. sites and a large overhead view of the Capitol and foreground, cover slightly reduced at right and unnoticeable tear at bottom right, Very Fine, an attractive and very rare used example of this "Crown Jewel" of Magnus patriotic covers of which only a handful are known.Scott No. 65 Estimate $3,000 - 4,000.
