Uruguay, 1867 registered cover to Montevideo. Franked with 1866 15c orange yellow vert. strip of 3 (Types 29, 34, 4) tied by San Carlos oval town marking along with oval grid, cover with four strikes of "Certificado" handstamp, cover & strip soiled, strip with large margins to touching frame line at bottom, Fine, a very rare item; signed Diaz.

Uruguay, 1870 registered cover front to Asuncion, Paraguay. Franked with 1866 15c orange yellow vert. strip of 3 (Types 32, 31, 20) tied by two strikes of "Certificado" handstamp, postmarked "Montevideo" double circle postmark, strip with large margins, hint of margin toning & left stamp with tiny margin tear at bottom, Very Fine, a lovely & rare usage to Paraguay, ex-Lee.

Franked with 1877-79 5c green + two 20c bister tied by two strikes of "Certificado" handstamp in blue & "Montevideo" double circle postmark, cover front with two toned spots from wax seals from reverse of cover (since removed as per postal regulations), Very Fine and attractive.

Franked with 1866-67 15c orange yellow strip of 3 tied by three strikes of numeral "9" in sunburst of Tacuarembo with two strikes of "Recomendada" handstamp below, "Montevideo" double circle postmark applied on arrival, some soiling, cover reduced at right, Fine and rare.
