(Ladrone Islands) sender's notation at top left, Manila and San Francisco transit backstamps; with December 27th enclosure from correspondence regarding flagship Sheridan being quarantined for measles; light cover edge wear and crease in stamp selvage, F.-V.F., the earliest recorded example of this Guam straight line postmark.
