Hawaii, 1857, 5¢ blue, thin white paper. Large margin to in at top, tied by "San Francisco, Cal., Jun 5, 1858/ 12" integral rate cds on small embossed ladies cover to Topsfield, Mass., red "Honolulu, Hawaiian - Islands, Apr 24" cds and manuscript "Due 12", cover opening tear at right and light staining, Fine, ex Adm. Harris, Advertisier.

Hawaii, 1863, 2¢ black on grayish. (plate 3-E, type X, position 10), margin with slightly eroded tear at right, manuscript canceled on covver front to Honolulu, bold "Ship" in circle handstamp at top, front with tone spots and some erosion, Fine appearance.

Hawaii, 1861, 2¢ pale rose, vertically laid paper. Large margins to slightly into framelines, tied by square grid cancel on cover to Punahou, Oahu, matching "Honolulu, Hawaiian - Islands, Apr 12" cds, docketed "April 10, 1864" in pencil; cover with light soiling and reduced at right, Fine.

Hawaii, 1864, 2¢ rose vermilion, two singles. Slightly overlapping on cover to Punahou, Oahu, tied by target cancels with matching "Honolulu, Hawaiian - Islands, Jun 16" cds, stamps with a couple pulled perf at bottom and small cover nick at bottom, otherwise Very Fine, a scarce double inter-island rate.

Hawaii, 1864, 2¢ vermilion. On 1872 cover from Rev. Lorenzo Lyons, postmaster at Waimea to Lahainaluna, Maui, manuscript "Waimea May 1" postmark and "Paid L.L." at top with additional notation "Dued for 2." at right, stamp applied at Kawaihae and tied by large grid and the rare St. Andrews Cross cancel, light "Kawaihae P.O., Apr 2" cds (MH 244.02, should by May), Very Fine, a rare and unusual usage bearing the St, Andrew cross cancel, postmaster Lyons was out of stamps at the Waimea post office.

Tied by cork cancel in combination with U.S. 1861, 10¢ yellow green on cover to Hyannis, Mass., reverse with "Hilo, P.O., Hawaiian - Islands, Jan 7" origin cds (MH 242.13, R3), by Hawaiian steam service with "Honolulu, Hawaiian Islands, Jan 18" and San Francisco transit cds's; cover with slight reduction at left and light edge wear professionally restored, otherwise Very Fine, a nice combination cover.

Tied by target cancel on 1867 cover to Richmond, Indiana, in combination with U.S. 1863, 5¢ brown canceled by target and additionally tied by small portion of cog wheel handstamp, red "Honolulu, U.S. Postage Paid, Feb 20" origin cds and "San Francisco, Cal., Mar 13" transit cds, with original enclosure dateline "Honolulu, Feb 17th, 1867"; some cover edge wear, still Very Fine, an attractive and rare mixed franking; with 2000 P.F. certificate.

Hawaii, 1866, 5¢ blue, horizontal strip of three. Canceled by square grid cancels on 1867 cover to Lydenville, N.Y., additional unlisted bold large 7-bar grid with central dot cancels tying stamps, reverse with "Hilo P.O., Hawaiian Islands, Dec 19" origin cds red "Honolulu, U.S. Postage Paid, Dec 28" and San Francisco transit cds's; cover refolded in at edges, Very Fine appearance, an extremely rare patent grid used in Honolulu.
