Tied by grid cancels on 1865 folded letter sheet to Lyon, France, red "New York, Paid, Feb 4" cds, French transit and numerous backstamps; right 30¢ stamp with a couple of tears, otherwise F.-V.F., a rare 6 times rate usage; with 1991 P.S.E. certificate.

Pkt. * Jul. 12" cds, London receiving date stamp, forwarding postage paid by pair of G.B. 4p Orange (on reverse) tied by "London JY 26, 1862" duplex cancels, French transits, forwarded again within France, opened for display, minor edgewear, Very Fine.
