Mexico, 1863 Zacatecas, Mexico to France. 1863 folded letter with numerous markings & routing instructions including manuscript "France par Packet Anglais" across the top, black "G.B. 1F60c" accountancy hand-stamp with a black hand-stamped "24" decimes due, backstamped "Franco Anta Anna De Tamauls. Junio 28" cds with a green double line oval "F. Claussen y Cia Tampico" forwarders hand-stamp, additionally struck by perfect strike of red ""TAMPICO JU29 1863"" British P.O. cds & blue crayon "26" on the reverse, Very Fine, a wonderful cover.

Franked with 25c Hidalgo (large margins) with Orizava District tied by indistinct circular cancel (possibly Schatzkes #1789) & French Accountancy handstamp "FR 2F20c", cover with scarce "Vera Cruz/Paq Fr. B No.1" octagon, backstamped with Beauly arrival cds, Extremely Fine and rare.
