Mexico, Jguala, Gro., Abr 4, 91 (Guerrero). Origin cds on certified cover to Mexico City, franked on reverse with 1890, 10c vermilion + 25c vermilion canceled by "O" handstamps with additional strikes at corners on front, "C" certified etiquette, manuscript notation that letter was received in bad condition with addressee acknowledgment; cover with large nick in lower left corner, F.-V.F.

Mexico, Mazapil "MP" monogram (Zacatecas). Bold central strike of colonial postmark on 1874-80, 100c carmine, tied by indistinct circular cancel on certified cover front to Zacatecas, matching "Mazapil" straight line handstamp and three strikes of fancy "Franco" handstamp at corners, purple "Zacatecas, Oct 4, 1882, E.U.M." oval receiving postmark and blue Juzgado de Letras official cachet, front embossed with "Juzgado de los Civil Hacienda y Mineria de Zacatecas" cachet; parts of front restored at sides affecting portions of postmarks, Very Fine appearance, a wonderful and unique late usage of the Mazapil monogram used as a canceling device.
