Mexico, 1861, 2r black on pink, Jalapa. Tied by Perote boxed handstamps (Schatzkes 630 & 630a) on provisional usage Jun 24 1867 folded letter sheet to Puebla., F.-V.F., very scarce, a very small supply of the 1861 issue was sent to Jalapa in 1867 and was transferred to the Perote and Misantla Village post offices, all receiving the small size district overprint as used on the Eagle issues, ex Mazepa.
