Mexico, 1864-66, 8r red, Mexico. Cons 77-1865 (317 sent to Sr. Gutierrez), tied by "Morelia, 3 Enero, 1866" cds on certified cover front to Mexico City, certified boxed handstamp and additional town postmark strikes, F.-V.F., few certified fronts are known from this issue and only two known with this consignment number, this being the best of the two, both originating in Morelia in January 1866, a wonderful piece and one of the major rarities in Eagle issue, ex O. Rodriguez.

Approximately 180 stamps and 10 covers mounted on pages; the wide range of issues, cancellation and district including many sub-numbers, including a good range of Puebla district overprints, other including Queretaro including combination franking on cover, Morelia, Guadalajara, Durango, Guanajuato with covers, Mexico, etc.; many better items throughout with condition well above the norm, well worth careful evaluation, F.-V.F.
