Lot 2029    

Mexico, 1895, 1c-10p black, "Almanaque" reproduction sheet. With Post Office scene illustrations in blue and legend in red, sheet reduced, two light horizontal file folds & mounting adhesion at edges, Fine, very rare, with only 4 recorded sheets in philatelic hands.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

With special concession of the Secretary of Communication, this sheet was printed in the Government Printing Office used the original dies of the series.

Mexico, 1895 Mulita issue proof. Without denomination and value tablet, vertical line defacement, in dark blue on thick laid paper, made in 1940's, fresh and Very Fine, only 4-5 sets are known to exist.

Mexico, 1895-97, 5c + 10c + 20c + 50c Mulitas. Paying 70c registry over 105 grams plus 15c return receipt, on 1897 cover front to Bordeaux, France, tied by "Veracruz, Ver." cds's, blue Veracruz registry and A.R. handstamps, sent against instruction (por frances "Lafayette") via New York, Very Fine.

Lot 2037    

Mexico, 1895, 5c ultramarine. Tied on reverse of commercial cover by "Mexico, Ene 30,96" cds to Silao, front with purple "T 10cs" box handstamp, "Nota Instuctiva" label regarding the new double rate and an additional 5c pair tied by Silao cds's, Very Fine, in 1895, the post office doubled the internal rates, these labels were placed on underpaid cover stating that the postmaster of the receiving office should tax the cover for twice the missing postage.
