Guadalajara, 1867, 2r black on rose. Large margin slight overlapping top of cover front (with backflap) to Guayaquil, Ecuador, tied by Guadalajara oval handstamp; light toning, Fine, an unusual destination of this western maritime usage.

Guadalajara, 1868, 2r black on lilac. Large margin single tied by negative "Correos Tepic" handstamp on 1868 folded letter sheet, matching "Franqueado, Tepic, Oct 11/68" oval date stamp at top; cover tone spots and stamp with light ruled pencil lines in margin not mention in certificate, F.-V.F., a very late usage as the new issue started on Sept 8, 1868; with 2007 MEPSI certificate.

Fourth printing, tied by negative Tepic cancel on October 11, 1868 folded letter to Guadalajara, matching Tepic oval date stamp at top, Very Fine, an exceptional demonetized usage cover from this small town used a full month and three days after the stamp was no longer valid, ex Gutierrez; with 1999 MEPSI certificate.

Guadalajara, 1868, 2r black on lilac. Fourth printing, full margins, tied by Guadalajara wreath cancel on July 16, 1868 folded letter to Leon, Very Fine and choice, ex Gutierrez, O. Rodriguez; with 2003 MEPSI certificate.
Scott No. 43    Estimate $500 - 750.

Although the wreath cancel was primarily used in early 1867, it returned to use late in 1868. Few covers from this period exist with it.
