Thompson & Co's Express, red illustrated train and Mercury corner card cover from Springfield to Harvard, Mass., with Paid straight line handstamp at top, accompanied by Thompson's Express 10¢ scip dated Oct. 1, 1872 which is signed by Thompson; cover reduced at right, Very Fine, the only recorded example of the straight line Paid handstamp used by Thompson's Express.
