1911 (Sept. 23-Oct. 1) International Aviation Tournament, Garden City, N.Y., cover franked with 2¢ Washington tied by bold "Aeroplane Station No. 1, Sep 23, 1911" postmark and matching "Aerial Special Dispatch" handstamp alongside, cover signed "Earee Orvington, First U.S. Air Mail Pilot (First day of mail flights)" at lower left, Very Fine, a very scarce pilot signed first flight. AAMC No. 3.

Airmail, 1930, 65¢ Graf Zeppelin, in combination with 1930, 5¢ violet tied by "Saint Petersburg, Fla., May 31" duplex cds on illustrated Zeppelin flight card to New York, 65¢ tied by "New York, N.Y., Jun 2, 1930" duplex for flight to Freidrichshafen, all appropriate flight cachets and transit postmarks including reverse with two types of St. Petersburg flight cachet; light card corner wear, Very Fine.

Military Airmail, 1944-45, 6¢ Transport, "R.F." overprint, neatly tied by "Poste Aux Armees 27-1, 45" cds on cover to Melrose, Mass., purple Marine circular cachet handstamp and and sender's endorsement at bottom left, control tape tied by censor handstamps on front and reverse; couple tiny cover nicks at right from opening, Very Fine, one of the scarcer R.F. issues on cover; with 1987 A.P.S. certificate.

Offices in China, 4¢ orange brown + 6¢ red orange + 10¢ Registration, Darrah type II overprints, all tied by two strikes of bold "U.S. Postal Agency, Shanghai, China, Rec'd, Jul 28, 1914" cds's on oversized pre-printed address cover to Paris, France, purple registry boxed handstamp at left and reverse with matching "Shanghai, China (U.S. postal Agency.), Registered, Jul 28, 1914" cds, Hong Kong transit and receiving backstamps; cover with a couple file folds well away from stamps, Very Fine, one of the rarest Darrah overprint usages to a foreign destination bearing the unique example of the 10¢ Registration issue with the Darrah type II overprint on cover, ex Drucker; with 2006 P.S.E. certificate.
