Confederacy, Raleigh, N.C., Jan (1862), blue double circle postmark on lovely embossed ladies cover franked with 1861, 5¢ bright green (left sheet margin with margins all around), just tied by light red grid, top back flap missing, Very Fine and attractive, unusual combination of colored cancels - the same as on the Raleigh handstamped provisional.

Confederacy, Raleigh, N.C., blue dc pmk tying 10c greenish blue on turned cover to Charleston (crossed out) and redirected to Rutherfordtown, NC (stamp with cover file fold through it); second use (outside) also #12c canceled neat "Rutherfordtown, NC" cds to Troy's Store, reduced at left and part of back flap missing, Very Fine and attractive.
