Allen, Lane.

Flag & Soldier, red and blue design on cover to Fall River, Mass., franked with 1857, 1¢ blue, two singles + 1861, 1¢ blue tied by blue grid cancels, red "Bridgewater, Mass., Jan 20, 1862" cds alongside, with original enclosure; 1857, 1¢ stamps with gum toning and right stamp torn, F.-V.F., still an interesting accepted usage of the demonetized 1857, 1¢ stamps.
