Marquam, Oregon. (1889-1958, now Marion County) - type 1 & type 3 (2) - 3 covers with fine strikes including the earliest recorded cover from office (Jan 28, 1891), two type 3 postmarks are from 1897 and 1899, one with year slug and one without, Very Fine (Rarity 5 & 3).

(1850-1929, later Milwaukee) extremely fine four margin 1851, 3¢ orange brown, horizontal pair tied by manuscript on Milwaukie O.T. manuscript cover to Illinois, the 6¢ prepaid the transcontinental rate applied from 1851 to 1855 - the orange-browns probably indicate an 1851 or 1852 use; back flaps defective, sealed tear at bottom center of envelope does not affect address, Very Fine and choice, One of the prettiest Oregon Territorials, the stamps extremely fresh with brilliant color (Rarity A).

Milwaukie, Clackmas County, Oregon Territory. Incoming wrapper (edge faults and separations at folds) from Drakesville Iowa (bold green cds) to "Milwaukie, Clackmus County, Oregon Territory", 20 in manuscript indicates double 10¢ collect rate, so must be dated between 1852 and 1855; somewhat stained and tatty, Fine.

Milwaukie, O.T., March 3. Manuscript postmark (type 1) on 1855 folded letter with "Paid 3" to Salem O.T (letter dated 1 March 1855), probably sent by Willamette River steamboat to Oregon City, then around the falls and by another steamboat to Salem, Extremely Fine, a clean and fine territorial use (Rarity A).

Milwaukie, O., Nov 28/86. Small manuscript postmark (type 2) on 2¢ stationery envelope with enclosure to Woodburn; slight reduction at right, Very Fine, this is the latest known Milwaukie manuscript postmark from a town that took 37 years to introduce a postmark device (Rarity 6).
