Straight line postmark on 1773 folded letter sheet from Falmouth, England to Philadelphia, Pa., with English "Exeter" postmark and Bishop mark "15 NO" also on reverse, rated in London "P 1N4" in magenta, "2" rate applied for New York to Philadelphia docketed "From Joshua Williams, Receive'd 16th 10 Mo. 1773", F.-V.F., a wonderful usage just before the the Boston Tea Party.
