Two strike of blue oval handstamp tying 1857, 1¢ blue, type V, two single + 3¢ dull red + 10¢ green, type V on 1861 cover Dereham, Canada West, entered the mails with blue "Smith's Ranch, Cal., Sept 18, 1861" cds, red "Chicago, Ill., Paid 15" postmark and receiving backstamp; some stamps flaws and cover edge wear and tears restored with backflaps reattached, Fine appearance, an extremely rare usage.
