Blue oval date stamp on 1864, 3¢ pink entire to Newburgh, N.Y., manuscript notation at left reading "This was in an Express Box, which was lost some time ago, in Bitter Creek - 230 m east of Salt Lake City - and but now recovered, T.F.T. Agent, Salt Lake City, July 25/68.", blue "Wells, Fargo & Co., Salt Lake City, U.T., Jul 25" oval date stamp and partial Union Pacific, R.R. cds with matching target canceling; cover with small edge tears and light staining, Fine, a wonderful and rare lost and recovered Express Box cover.
