Manuscript postmark on folded cover to Elizabethtown, Kentucky with manuscript "Paid 34" War rate, contents lengthy legal document, some docketing & minor stain at bottom right, F.-V.F., Cape Girardeau became part of Missouri Territory; with 1997 P.S.E. certificate.

An eclectic group of 17 stampless covers to & from New Orleans, many with foreign origins or destinations, included are forwarder's, an early cover to France on printed circular, incoming 1851 cover from Switzerland, 1856 cover to Nova Scotia, 1840 cover from Rio de Janeiro to New York sent via New Orleans with blue cds, 1821 folded cover from New Orleans to France carried privately to France with manuscript forwarder's manuscript endorsement, etc., mixed condition, F.-V.F.
