Full strike in red with matching "Phila, 29 Jun" octagon date stamp on 1835 incoming folded letter from Batavia, Java to Boston, Mass., manuscript "39½" rate (double 18¾¢ rate plus 2¢ ship fee), reverse with green oval "Forward. By, Pairo Stricker & Co., Batavia" handstamp, fresh and Very Fine, one of two examples of this maritime marking in combination with a Batavia forwarder.
