1839-48 New Orleans to London. Small group of 6 folded covers all but one from New Orleans addressed to forwarder in New York and sent on to London, one from Mexico carried privately to New Orleans forwarder and sent on to London via New York forwarder, three covers with manuscript forwarder's handstamp & three with handstamps (two with double forwarder's handstamps), some soiling along file folds, F.-V.F.

1848 Retaliatory Rate. Two folded covers both showing the Retaliatory Rate, one in to the United States & one out of the United States, 1st is a folded cover from Dungannon to Jackson, La. showing all proper markings including bold red "New York/Ship/34 cts." handstamp, 2nd is folded cover from New Orleans with straight line "Paid" & "34" rate handstamp, Very Fine.
