N.O.O. & G.W.R.R., Brashear Station (New Orleans, Opelousas and Great Western Rail Road). Blue oval station agents handstamp on 1866 cover to New Iberia, franked with 1861 3¢ rose tied by "New Iberia, La." cds, flap missing, Very Fine and rare, the only station agent marking used in Louisiana.

New Orleans Railroad Related Covers. An interesting lot of 38 covers & cards with a wide variety of railroad markings from Louisiana, most from the late 1850's to the early 1880's many better items are present such as "New Orleans Opelousas & G.W. Railroad Co." blue handstamp on 3¢ Nesbitt entire with New Orleans cds & straight line "Way", a folded cover from New Orleans to Carrollton, Miss. with manuscript endorsement "Via N.O. & Jackson R.R.", a 2¢ 1869 on a drop cover with a corner card of "N.O., J & G.N.R.R. Co." (New Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern), 1858 cover from New Orleans to Port Gibson, Miss. with printed corner card of "Office of the Southern Pacific Railroad Co., New Orleans", cover with original enclosure on matching printed letterhead from the Secretary of the railroad to a director attempting to raise funds to begin construction, 1889 cover with violet of "N. R.R. & T. R.R./Frogmore" (Natchez, Red Rivere & Texas Railroad) station agent handstamp, 1870 cover from New Orleans to New York with printed corner card of Great Southern Mail Route, cover with original enclosure on matching printed letterhead, also three 3¢ pink entires with cds of "N.O.J.& G.N. R.R." (New Orleans, Jackson & Great Northern), mixed condition, F.-V.F., a great lot for the specialist.
