Double circle postmark on 1868 cover to London franked with 1861 10¢ green + 1861-66 2¢ black with pinwheel cancels & tied by red "New York Paid All" transit cds, red "London" arrival postmark at left, original enclosure included which is well written & full of Mining details, adhesives with small faults, Very Fine; a scarce town marking.

Double oval date stamp (Williams MER-1480) on legal size ca. 1865 cover franked with well centered 1861 3¢ rose strip of 3 (left stamp torn & others with minor perf flaws) with manuscript cancel to Stockton, Cal., slightly reduced at right, Very Fine and attractive.

Steinberger's, Cal. (San Francisco). Manuscript postmark (Williams SAM-2360) on circa 1853 cover with manuscript "10" rate to Iowa, some wear, Fine, a very rare item from this Post Office which operated 1853-56 only, the forerunner of Redwood City, this cover almost certainly sent in the San Francisco County period before San Mateo County was created.
