1857, 1¢ blue, type V + 3¢ dull red (single & pair). Tied by two attractive strikes of blue "Chicago, Ills." double circle on small 1860 cover to Canada with arched "U. States" and "Paid 10" exchange markings all in red, Extremely Fine, a pretty little cover.

1857, 1¢ blue, type V, two singles. In combination with 1861, 1¢ blue, all tied by manuscript cancels on red and blue Eagle and Shield patriotic cover to Cardington, O., manuscript "Clarks, O., March 31" 1862 postmark; 1861, 1¢ blue with light pre-use crease, otherwise Very Fine, a very scarce accepted demonetized usage; with 2008 P.F. certificate.

1857, 3¢ rose, type I, Stellate Plate Crack. Position 47R7 clearly showing crack below and into upper right rosette, tied by "Mount Holly, N.J., Mar 4, 1859" cds on cover to Beverly; cover with light water stains, otherwise Very Fine, the only crack developing late on Plate 7 affecting positions 47-48R7.

Tied by blue "Steamboat" straightline handstamp on cover to Portsmouth Va., matching "Baltimore Md., Sep 14 1867" cds and "Due 2cts" straightline handstamp; cover with trivial small surface scuffs, bottom right corner restored and backflap added, still Very Fine and attractive, ex Cole, Judd.; with 2008 P.F. certificate.
