Large margins and discernible grill, tied by black grid and red "New York, 6, May 27" cds's on fresh 1868 folded letter sheet to Bordeaux, France, manuscript "Steamship Russia" endorsement and blue Calais entry postmark, Extremely Fine, a choice early transatlantic usage of the 15¢ F. grill; with 1991 P.F. certificate.
