Bold cds with "Paid 10" handstamp (type II) on immaculate orange cover which is an Overpaid Drop, letter headed "Jacksonville Aug 22nd 1863" asking if "a place has been selected for me in any of the department…have you heard the Genl or any of the officials speak of it?…in my interview with Genl Finegan he stated that Col. Dancy wanted an assistant", lightly penciled "Found Jan 9 1928/J.M. Bartels" on back, an Extremely Fine gem, ex-Emerson.
