Württemberg, 1541-1850's Württemberg Postal History Collection. Specialized assembly of approximately 150 stampless folded letters and covers, most mounted on exhibition pages in 5 binders; first period usages (16th century to 1774) including 1541 "Metzger" (Butcher) Post usage to Pfronstetten, 17th century usages including 1632 Wemding courier letter to Duke Georg Freichrich of Hohenlohe over occupied Swabian Land, other later usages showing early fee markings, 1707 money letter, range of better 18th century usages including pre-1775 straight line handstamp usages including rare 1730 De Canstatt straight line on front and 1768 De Heilbronn, second period (under Thurn & Taxis franchise 1775-1806) with various manuscript and straight line postmarks, 1800 Army letters, circular and 1796 coach receipt, etc., third period (1806-1819) showing transitional straight line postmarks including auxiliary, French occupational usages, receipts of registration, etc., fourth period (1819-1850) showing the array of postmarks and usage including 1830 illustrated coach letter receipts, registry including chimney type markings, free franking, private post, etc.; a wonderful group with condition well above the norm, Very Fine overall.

Specialized assembly of well over 100 covers and cards mounted on display pages in 4 binders; strong showing of early stampless incoming from other German States including early 17th century usage from Bavaria, stamp and postal stationery usages from Baden, North German Confederation, Thurn & Taxis, Bavaria, Helgoland postal card, etc., wide range of non-German countries represented including Romania, Hungary, Greece, Mexico and other South American countries, Egypt, Ceylon, Uganda, N.S.W. including 1906 registered, Russia, etc., also includes some additional incoming usages to Germany (not Württemberg), F.-V.F. overall.

Württemberg, 1800-1900's Württemberg Town Postmark Collection. Comprehensive study of towns mostly on cover with many piece and on stamp items, on exhibition pages in 22 binders, from early stampless, 1850-60's Coat of Arms issues through to the later issues including postal stationery; strong showing of various towns including Backnang, Bessigheim and Biberach early straight lines, Dornstetten with better off cover, Esslingen, Goeppimgen, 1864 Gügglingen cds tying 6kr (Mi. 18x), Heilbronn & Horb with a few nice 1860's Coat of Arms usages, 1865 Pfullingen 9kr (Mi26b) cover to Switzerland, nice showing of Stuttgart cancels, Ulm with early 1718 usage, etc.; many hundreds of covers including official, postablage usages, postal receipts and others miscellaneous items; a lovely collection for the town specialist with clear readable town strikes throughout, Very Fine overall (no photo).

Well over 100 covers with many written-up on exhibition pages in two binders; strength in early 1830-50's transatlantic usages including an array of Bremen transit usages including many scarce paid and unpaid rates, section of French Service mail via Le Havre & Calais, few U.S. west coast rate usages, unscheduled and private ship mail, some better U.S. stamp mail, via Hamburg usages, some auxiliary items including newpaper sailing and shipping receipts, etc.; a wonderful collection for the transatlantic specialist, Very Fine overall.

Well over 100 covers and cards and 500+ off cover stamps mounted on display pages in 10 binders and albums, categorized by town date stamp types (K1, K2, K3 and "date bridge" datubruecken), from stampless to strength in 1857-68 Coat of Arms issues on and off cover, through to some nice later issue postmarks and usages, wide range of cancellations including many scarer items, socked-on-the-nose strikes, later issue stationery including overseas and official items, etc.; condition well above the norm overall, a wonderful basis for further expansion, inspection highly recommended (no photo).

Well over three hundred of stamps and 40 covers mounted on exhibition pages in two binders; starting with complete basic issues in mint and used format, section showing all the various types, color shade study and paper types, various plate varieties, 1864 reprints and early forgeries including used 18kr Fournier pair, comprehensive cancellation section including better mute cancels, circular numerals, sections of town postmarks including straight line postmarks with many nice on cover and piece items, stirup cancels, segmented railroad postmarks including a small section of revenue usages and a somewhat comprehensive section of circular town postmarks (K2 & K3 postmarks) including on cover registry usage and a 18kr pair on piece; a wonderful collection of these issues with condition well above the norm, Very Fine overall.

Specialized collection of well over 100 stamps, 4 covers and dozens of official reprints and proofs, mounted on exhibition pages in binder; including original Korn matrix proofs in colors, stamp issues from a comprehensive study of 1857-68 Coat of Arms issues used with the variety of shades, including 1859, 1kr brown strip of three on piece, several on piece mixed issue frankings, the scarce 1860 dark brown shade, study of the various major printing flaws, 1865 reprints and proofs, 1869-74 Numeral issues including shades and officially authorized reprint proofs, also a selection of telegraph issues mint and used, etc.; a lovely exhibition collection with condition well above the norm, Very Fine.
