(Alameda) Alvarado, Cal, May 26. Double cds (Williams ALA-370) on cover to Lynnville, Ill. with colored "Overland Via Los Angeles" Illustrated Four-Horse Stagecoach design, franked with manuscript canceled 1857, 10¢ green, type V (s.e. at left); light toning and slightly reduced at right, otherwise Very Fine, choice strike of this uncommon cancel, one of the gems of the collection.

Cds (Williams ALA-1160 open Oct 1891-Jul 1892, 10 months) on cover with 1890, 1¢ blue + 2¢ carmine, two singles tied together by targets killers making 5¢ rate to Jerusalem, Syria, Very Fine, the only known cover from Brays the other 2 listings are cut squares, an Alameda rarity.
