1895 Mechanics Fair Postcards. Two multicolor 1894 Mid-Winter Fair Expo. Postcards overprinted on reverse with "Mechanics Fair 1895/Fleming & Sons Export Rye and Malt Whiskey" illustrated advertising in blue (Megson GC30A, $275 each), one showing the Agricultural Building & other with the Manufacturer's Building (light corner crease), both advertising text on front, Extremely Fine, very scarce items.

Bold cds (Bomar A95-01) tying 2¢ Bureau issue on legal-size Penalty envelope with printed corner card of "Cotton States and International Exposition/Office of the Board of Management of U.S. Government Exhibit", addressed to the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., cover slightly reduced at left & vert fold though corner card, Very Fine.

Exposition R.P.O., Atlanta, Ga. Violet double circle (Bomar A95-02) tying 2¢ Bureau (affected by light vert. cover fold) on 1895 cover to Florida, adhesive additionally tied by negative "E" cancel (which is thought to perhaps signify Exposition), included is original enclosure which talks of the Expo & local hotel rates, cover with minor stain, Very Fine, a very rare marking.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

Exposition Station, Atlanta, Ga./Dec. 5, 1895/M.O.B. Violet double circle postmark (Bomar A95-04) on Post Office Department M.O.B. Penalty envelope to Santa Barbara, Cal., cover additionally cancelled by "Atlanta Exposition R.P.O." cds & cork killer (Bomar A95-01), backstamped with arrival postmark, Extremely Fine, the only know example of this Exposition marking, pictured in Bomar.

Registered/Nov. 6, 1895/Exposition Station)/Atlanta, Georgia. Bold strike in violet (Bomar A95-03) on reverse of registered Netherlands 12½c Postal Entire additional franked with 10c definitive addressed to Atlanta Exposition, Manufacturers Building, entire used from the 1895 Amsterdam Exhibition & postmarked with three clear strikes of "Amsterdam Tentoonstelling" double circle, Extremely Fine, one of two known examples of this rare marking.
Estimate    $1,500 - 2,000.

One of the finest known exhibition covers.

1895 Cotton States and International Exposition (Atalnta, Ga.) Advertising Covers. Lot of three covers including lovely blue all over illustrated design on reverse of cover, 2nd cover with all over illustration showing Bird's Eye View of Expo. Grounds in gray, last cover is Official corner card showing Expo. Logo with original enclosure on printed letterhead of the "Board of Women Managers", two stamps with minor fault, Very Fine and scarce.
