Nice strike of "Paid 5" Provisional handstamp re-rated with pencil manuscript "10" rate with "Warrenton, Geo./Aug. 3" (1861) cds on cover to "Alexander Stephens" in Richmond, docketing left indicates that the sender wishes to a surgeon in Col. Harmmond's Regiment, small expert repair in top right corner not affecting the cds, Very Fine and choice.
