Lot 3313Hawaii, A.S. Cleghorn & Co., Honolulu, H.I., Sep 25. Ca. 1880's blue oval handstamp on front and reverse cover addressed to The Hon. Mrs. Cleghorn in Mana, manuscript "A.S.C." initials at lower left; cover edge wear at sides and small cover nick at right, Very Fine, a rare company handstamp on cover from Archibald S. Cleghorn, to his wife Princess Likelike.

A.S. Cleghorn was the Collector General of Customs and owned a commission merchant store in Honolulu. This company handstamp, similar to his private handstamp, is unlisted by Gregory.

Violet straight line handstamp (MH & Gregory unlisted) over matching "Collect, 2 Cents" handstamp on cover franked with uncancelled 1899 2¢ rose, postmarked Honolulu/Jun 19, 1900, used five days after the use of Hawaiian stamps were no longer valid, therefore Held For Postage with United States 2¢ Postage Due applied & tied on day later on June 20th with Honolulu duplex postmark, trivial trace of toned spots, Very Fine and choice; with 2006 P.F. certificate.
