Wells Fargo & Co. Red Frank. On fresh 1860, 10¢ Star Die entire to New York, with neat blue circular "Wells, Fargo & Co. Express, S. Frco., Oct 11" date stamp, Nov. 5th, 1861 receiving docketing on reverse, Extremely Fine, a choice red frank usage.

Wells Fargo & Co. Red Frank. Type 2 frank four 10¢ Star Die entires with printed frank centered at top, 3 with blue S.F. company cds, one entering the mails in Boston and other two in New York (one part paste-up); some flaws, Fine.

Wells Fargo & Co. 1861-62 Provisional Envelopes. Three plain envelopes without printed franks, each with blue "Paid" in oval handstamp and franked with 1861, 10¢ green, two entering the mails with New York cds's (one missing backflap) and other with blue S.F. company cds and entering the mails in Boston, Mass., also an additional Marshall's Office official imprint cover to Guatemala with blue "Paid" in oval handstamp and "4" reales due handstamp (with 1857, 10¢ on cover not originating), F.-V.F.
Estimate    $250 - 350.

The 10¢ Star Die entires became briefly unavailable on the west coast at the very end of 1861 and adequate supplies of the Third Nesbitt Issue not having arrived in California.
