Over 200 covers mounted on pages order by state; mostly 1840-60's stampless and franked covers with some early, states including Wisconsin, R.I., Vermont, Illinois, N.H. including some scarce "Paid 3", Maine, Indiana, Connecticut, Del., Mass., N.J., Minnesota including territorial & Michigan; condition a little mixed with many nice town strikes throughout, worth careful inspection.

United States, State/Provincial Postmarks Covers. 23 better covers; including 3 "New York/ 40" integral rate covers to S.F., 1864 Franklin, Ct. straight line postmark, better town postmarks from Idaho, Chicopee, Mass. fancy Star of David cancel on #26, some early stampless and territorial usages, few foreign destination usages including 1880's to Barbados and Norway, etc.; worth evaluation.

United States, Steamboat Covers, 1850's. About 200 or so covers, virtually all to Col. R. C. Ballard at Vicksburg, Miss. or Elcho Plantation, near Young's Point, La., or Stones' Landing; some franked with #11 or #26, many with no franking & B/L (bill of lading) endorsement, all with steamboat endorsements like "Southern Belle, Frank Lyon, Natchez, Princess, Belle Creole", and many others; some with postmarks including oval "U.S. Mail /Packet/Natchez" & "Route 7309", "Saturday Evening Packet/Str. Natchez/ Route 4165", "N.O. & Vicksburg R.M" and others; condition quite mixed but some Very Fine, please inspect carefully.

United States, Town Postmark Collection, 1792-1860's. 40 covers mostly stampless written up on pages; including 1797 Hartford, Conn. straight line and 1826 fancy champhered box date stamp, 1850's valentine from La Porte, Ind. with enclosure, 1827 red Shawneetown oval, 1792 red Hanover, N.H. oval, 1849 Middletown Point, N.J., early Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, etc.; clear readable strikes throughout.

Maury, first consul appointed by George Washington; large green "19 Cents" & other markings from Bradford-Yorks; 1849 Rio de Janeiro to Baltimore; large double circle "Boston 24/Br. Pkt" to Boston with Liverpool forwarder; many other interesting examples; condition somewhat mixed, please inspect.
