El Dorado Cañon, Nevada, Letters 1881-95. Fascinating group of 8 letters with original covers, from mining engineer (?) working along the Colorado River to his wife and daughter, telling of many experiences of living in the region, traveling by steamboat up the river (one letter written on board), and the hard life of provisioning and existing there; mentions Indians; including 3 manuscript postmarks for "El Dorado Nev" 1881-83, 2 cds with "El Dorado Cañon" 1884 & 1886; "El Dorado Canyon" cds 1895; and 1883 "Rioville"; covers mostly with somewhat rough openings at right, Fine.
