(Douglas) Carll, Or. 2 covers: first with manuscript postmark "Aug 21 1886" drawn in the form of a cds by the postmaster, with smudge cancel on 2¢ brown Banknote, cover reinforced at right with tear and rough opening; the other is bold purple double circle handstamp "Mar 31 1894" (31 is inverted 13) with matching target cancel on 2¢ Columbian, backstamp of "Oakland, Oregon, Apr 1 1894", slight all-over soiling but otherwise VF; manuscript unknown in Whittlesey, cds listed with R-8 rating.
