"2" canceled on embossed cover to Effingham S.C., with 1851, 3¢ brownish carmine tied by blue "Charleston S.C. Paid Jul. 3" cds; Honour's stamp with small sealed tear and appears to have been lifted and reaffixed, F.-V.F., a rare combination, ex Caspary, Schwartz.

Margins large to shaving at left, manuscript cancelled on 1853 folded letter to Stateburg, S.C., in combination with 1851, 3¢ experimental orange brown, type II (large margins to touching at bottom right) tied by blue Charleston, S.C., Paid, Apr 15 cds, Very Fine and choice, a rare combination with the 3¢ experimental orange brown shade; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

Cleveland, Ohio, Bishop's City Post, 1854 2¢ black on bluish. Margins clear to into frameline at bottom, pencil canceled (cert. notes pen) on folded letter which it did not originate and tied by "10" handstamp which is a counterfeit, otherwise Fine, still a very rare stamp; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

Louisville, Ky., Brown & McGill's U.S.P.O. Despatch, 1857 (2¢) blue. Margins ample to large showing framelines on three sides, in conjunction with 1857, 3¢ dull red, type III (crease and small perf flaws) on cover to Pleasant Hill, Ky., both tied by blue "Louisville, Ky., Aug 19, 1859" cds; light cover wear and small portion of backflap restored, F.-V.F., a exceptional example of the Brown & McGill's blue carrier stamp tied on cover.
