Louisville, Ky., Brown & McGill's U.S.P.O. Despatch, 1858 (2¢) black. Large margins to into frameline at bottom, tied by blue Louisville, Ky. cds on ornate embossed Valentine cover to Pleasant Hill, Ky., with 1857 3¢ stamp removed at left of carrier leaving a small thin spot in cover, Fine, the unique example of the Brown & McGill's black carrier stamp tied on cover with the adhesive in outstanding condition, one of two known canceled examples, ex Mason; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

New York, N.Y., U.S. City Despatch Post, 1842-45, 3¢ black on blue. Ample to mostly large margins, tied by two strikes of red "U.S." in octagon handstamp on locally addressed folded letter sheet, matching "U.S. City Despatch Post, May 23" cds; cover with large sealed vertical tear and carrier explanation note applied below stamp (non-contemporary), Fine; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

Philadelphia, Pa., U.S.P.O. Despatch, 1849-50, 1¢ black on blue. Slight glazed loss and small creases, tied by blue "Philada, Pa., 5cts, Sep 14" integral rate cds on 1850 printed Baptist Church notice to Millville, N.J.; cover tears at top and bottom and slight soiling, Fine, a very scarce on cover usage, with only 16 on cover usages reported; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

U.S.P.O. Despatch, Pre-Paid One Cent. Double oval handstamp tying 1857, 1¢ blue, type IV on locally addressed embossed St. Lawrence Hotel corner card cover; cover with light horizontal file fold near bottom, Very Fine and choice, a rare usage of the 1857, 1¢ blue, type IV.

Earles Gallery; tiny sealed cover tear at top right, Extremely Fine, a wonderfully attractive advertising design and usage, ex Emerson.
