Blood & Co., 1845 (2¢) black. Large margins, small tear at top, canceled by black dot cancel on locally addressed cover, letter with interesting content…Eli Mustun (in 2 instances) sent me notes with Bloods dispatch ticket on the same. Now why your young man or anyone in your establishment should throw the notes in the Post office I know not. A few cents is scarcely worth speaking about, but nevertheless, there are so many Despatch Boxes about, & much nearer than the Post office that i could not help wondering "why twas done".; cover with small wax seal stain at bottom left, Very Fine; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

Blood & Co., 1846-47 (2¢) black. Margins ample to touching at left, manuscript canceled and tied by blue Philadelphia, Pa. cds on 1846 folded letter to Virginia, reverse with "Jones' Hotel, Philadelphia" boxed handstamp on reverse, Very Fine.

Blood & Co., 1846-47 (2¢) black. Clear to large margins, neatly tied by blue "Philada, Pa., 5cts, Sep 27" cds on 1847 folded letter to West Chester, Pa., Very Fine, scarce tied to cover as this issue was so infrequently canceled by Blood's, ex Brown.

Clear to large margins, tied by neat 4-bar grid cancel on 1848 folded letter sheet to Baltimore, Md., in combination with 1847, 5¢ red brown (margins large to in at top and right) tied by blue "Philada. Pa., 5cts, Sep 5" integral rate cds with second strike alongside; local with large expertly repaired tear at top, Very Fine appearance, a very rare combination especially tied on cover, combination listed but unpriced in Scott, ex Emerson; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

Pa. 5 cts, Sep. 9" integral rate cds; cover with central vertical file fold, F.-V.F., an attractive and scarce combination.

Acid tied on illustrated sewing machine ad cover to Lewisburg, Pa., in combination with grid canceled 1857, 3¢ dull red, type III with "Philadelphia, Pa., Mar. 9, 1861" octagonal datestamp alongside and straight line "Due 3" handstamp below, clear Blood's cds; minor cover edge wear, Very Fine.
