1847, 5¢ red brown. Large margins to just into frameline at top, tied by blue "Philada. Pa., 5cts, May 23" cds with second strike below on cover to Kennett Square, Pa., full "Blood's Despatch, Pre-Paid, One-Cent" handstamp at upper left; stamp with tiny margin tear at bottom and some slight cover toning, F.-V.F., a very scarce usage.

Well centered, tied by Wilton, Ct. forwarding cds on cover readdressed to New Haven, initially franked with extremely fine 1857, 3¢ dull red, type III tied by "Suspension Bridge, N.Y., Jan 13, 1859" origin cds, Extremely Fine and choice, a very rare combination usage in such exceptional condition; with 2009 P.F. certificate.
